"What command"

Cor this has been a long time.....
C:\>cd ( to where ever you can get the files)

D:(or where ever)\............\i386\winnt.exe (hit Return)

I take it you are going to burst the ISO onto a USB pendrive?

Another possibiliy is to get a laptop and share its CD/DVD drive over the network with the TB and do the install from there. I also have a nifty little adapter that allows me to turn any IDE or SATA drive into a giant, stonking USB drive. Great for this sort of install

If you require it, let me know and Postman Pat can wing it to you for a "shotty".

Simple problem......

We've just got a box of Toughbook CF-M34's in.

Unfortunately I let be known that I'd got most of them working and was then told to load Win 2000 on them.

Small problem.... no CD/DVD Floppy, but does has USB 1 and network ports.

How the *%$ do you load Win onto them?

If I can get it onto one hdd, I'll just clone the rest....but I need to get it onto one.

I was thinking along the lines of getting some sort of DOS on using another PC and then copying the .iso or something win 2000 ish that can cause it to start installing from a DOS command.

Another idea - what happens with 2000 if I install it on another PC?  I know the drivers will be as per the other PC so I guess I can just swap the drivers for the TB ones

Any other ideas (don't bother is NOT an option)?

Summary:

What DOS - (OK I can probably find that easily enuf)
What windows command to launch the installer.

What type of alcohol to dull the pain of this?
What's the best way to top yourself if the alcohol doesn't work?
