worked perfectly fine on my system. Tis a very good game indeed, the storyline is very confusing, well not confusing but, basically the good guys were two british dudes a russian, and everyone else was 'evil'?

If an old fart like me can master it...you just go for it. Keep the difficulty level down to Regular for starters though or you will get no where!!

I am playing it on a core duo 2.4 but I have cranked the game settings waay up. Not quite maxed out all the sliders but not far off and it is as smooth as silk. I only have a Nvidia 8800, so DX 9 only and it still looks super.

In other words, do you think an arthritic bear with digits like Cumberland sausages and zero touch-typing ability could handle it?

Been wanting to get this, I got 2.1 due core 2, think it'll run on that? Says you should have 2.3 so not much in it, all my other specs are fine and dandy? Would get it for xbox but I hate these games on consoles, I need a mouse for the gun.

All joking aside, it is a remarkable piece of programming. If Half-life 2 set the gold standard for interactive gaming then it just lost its cherry in the polygon chucking department.

Half-life 2 managed to induce a feeling of vertigo with the rail bridge sequence, C of D has just invoked a cold, sweating terror response.....and I am sitting at the PC screen for goodness sake! I nearly crushed the mouse in a vice like grip.

Christ...I sound like a teenager!!!
